The project joins the discussion about the future of interpersonal communication. Its author concentrated on the interaction between people and computers: clothes are like a flexible interface around the human body. INTERKNITTING explains basic interhuman interactions during a meeting or a conversation, when one person is trying to read the other person’s body language. The collection is built of five pieces of clothing reacting to different stimuli. One is sensible to sound, another to movement or touch; finally, two of them can synchronise if the people wearing them face each other. The sensors fixed in the outfits are programmed to learn the habits of their users and to understand their relationships with the world. The interaction status can be followed on the integrated system of LEDs on the clothes.
